1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data under this Privacy Policy is:

Adcetera AB ("LOCL", "we", "us", "our") determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data carried out within the Service.

2. Scope of the Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users ("Users") of the LOCL mobile application and governs all processing of personal data carried out in connection with the use of the Service.

3. Categories of Personal Data Processed

LOCL may process the following categories of personal data:

3.1 Identification and Account Data

Personal data provided in connection with authentication via third-party identity providers, including Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In, such as name, email address, and unique user identifier.

LOCL does not collect or store passwords.

3.2 Location Data

Subject to the User's explicit consent, LOCL may process precise or approximate location data in order to provide location-based functionality, including displaying nearby events and improving relevance of recommendations.

Location permissions can be withdrawn at any time through the User's device settings.

3.3 Communication Data

Personal data contained in messages exchanged through the in-app chat function, including message content, timestamps, and involved users.

Such data is processed to enable communication, ensure continuity of conversations, maintain platform safety, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3.4 Calendar Data

Upon the User's explicit consent, LOCL may access calendar functionality (Apple Calendar or Google Calendar) for the sole purpose of allowing the User to save selected events.

LOCL does not access or read unrelated calendar entries.

3.5 Usage and Preference Data

Data relating to the User's interaction with the Service, including viewed events, preferred categories, saved events, and other usage patterns.

This data is processed to personalize content, improve the Service, and produce aggregated and anonymized insights for event organizers and partners.

3.6 Technical and Log Data

Technical information such as device type, operating system, application version, error logs, and performance data.

This data is processed to ensure functionality, security, and continuous improvement of the Service.

4. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

LOCL processes personal data for the following purposes and legal bases pursuant to Article 6 GDPR:

Where processing is based on consent, such consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

5. Disclosure of Personal Data

Personal data may be disclosed to:

• Service providers processing data on behalf of LOCL (e.g. hosting, analytics, notification services)
• Authentication providers (Apple and Google)
• Public authorities, where required by applicable law

All processors act under written data processing agreements in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

LOCL does not sell personal data.

6. Aggregated and Anonymized Data

LOCL may share aggregated and anonymized statistics with event organizers and partners. Such data does not constitute personal data and cannot be used to identify individual Users.

7. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Communication data may be retained to comply with legal obligations or to ensure the integrity and safety of the Service.

8. Transfers Outside the EU/EEA

Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, LOCL ensures that appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with Chapter V GDPR, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Users have the rights provided under Chapter III GDPR, including the right to:

10. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. LOCL does not knowingly process personal data relating to children.

LOCL implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
